Calgary, AB. – 41 Service Battalion from 41 Canadian Brigade Group will hold a community open house on Saturday, March 23rd at the Currie Building from 10 am - 3 pm.
41 Service Battalion has been in our community since 1910 and continues its long tradition of supporting the army as it moves to a new location on the former CFB Currie Barracks lands. With the move, 41 Service Battalion is also taking on new roles and challenges as it is now responsible for supporting most military establishments south of Red Deer. This shift is a large undertaking and sees 41 Service Battalion shift from a training unit to one which must meet the real-time demands of many diverse military units. This creates exciting opportunities for those who may be interested in becoming part of the army team that supports the army.
The event will feature military members in combat gear, military vehicles, equipment and static information displays which will showcase how it is that the military supports its combat and domestic operations.
What: Army Reserve Community Open House.
Where: Currie Building (4225 Crowchild Trail, former CFB Calgary)
